Conceptualizing the security crisis with an emphasis on the teachings of the Copenhagen school

Abstract

The security crisis is an issue that is often taken for granted, even though its meaning and dimensions remain largely unknown. Considering that in analyzing the concept of security crisis, a security point of view is considered in the issue of crisis, it is necessary to examine the theoretical framework of dealing with it in the form of security studies, therefore "Copenhagen school" has been chosen for this purpose. The purpose of this research is to analyze the concept of security crisis with an emphasis on the Copenhagen school. The type of applied research and its method is descriptive-analytical. In response to the question, what is the concept of security crisis by emphasizing the teachings of the Copenhagen school? After collecting the research literature and analyzing the collected information, we are led to the conclusion that each of the security crises (political, economic, social, military and environmental) can be divided into 8 levels, administrative, normal, based on three indicators of threat, time and surprise. Deliberate, reflexive, special, slow, emergent and completely critical.
