Abstract

The issue of ethnicity and ethnocentrism is one of the basic issues at the international level. The West Asian region is also one of the regions that have ethnic diversity. Ethnically, Iran is also among the countries that have ethnic plurality. In order to answer the question, what is the geopolitics of the nations in the West Asian region with an emphasis on J.A. Iran (in terms of convergence and divergence with the central government)? They have collected the necessary information using the library method and document study. The findings of the article indicate that among the characteristics of the West Asian region is the ethnic diversity of this region; The diversity that in some countries, including the Republic of Iran, has created a platform for convergence, and in some other countries, due to some structural problems and external agitations, has provided the grounds for divergence, but in our country, despite the efforts of the enemies, the opportunity-oriented view of the Islamic Republic Ethnic groups have provided a very suitable basis for using the great potential of the country's ethnic groups. Another finding is that the principles governing ethnic politics in Iran should lead to the strengthening of commonalities and efforts to bring ethnic groups closer to each other, and pay attention to the fact that the more the axes and principles agreed upon collectively increase, the more the possibility and probability of harmony and empathy will increase.
