The impact of virtual space and the Etedal center of Saudi Arabia on the regional policy of Saudi Arabia from 2010 to 2023

Abstract

In recent decades, the invention of "social networks" and the emergence of new concepts such as "big data" and "artificial intelligence" have transformed all aspects of human life. In this regard, different countries, realizing the importance of virtual space, big data, artificial intelligence and machine processing, have started actions in this field; Saudi Arabia is one of the pioneers in this field, which has brought about deep changes in this field by using western consultants. The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of virtual space and artificial intelligence on Saudi regional politics. Based on this, the main question of the current research is How has the impact of cyberspace, artificial intelligence, and the establishment of institutions such as the Etedal Center affected Saudi Arabia's regional policy in West Asia between 2010 and 2023?, have influenced the regional policy of Saudi Arabia in West Asia during the years 2010 to 2023? The author believes that the emergence of virtual space and theproduction of big data, as well as the advancement of artificial intelligence technology, have changed political approaches and governance, and in this way, Saudi Arabia has been able to overcome some of its weaknesses by using new technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual space. (Such as the lack of popularity at the regional level due to extremism, etc.) And to increase its operational power and consequently its influence at the regional level. This research was written based on the descriptive-analytical research method and how to use big data to identify behavioral patterns.
